We live on the edge of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, so it’s only natural that I should make a wine bag. I haven’t noticed it so much here in Illinois, but in Pennsylvania there are many dining establishments that don’t have a liquor license, so you are welcome to bring your own wine. Put that plastic bag away! A fabric wine bag is a sturdier and more attractive way to take a bottle along, and it’s reusable, too. A wine bag can also be regifted by the recipient.

For my first attempt at this bag, my calculations and measurements somehow went astray, resulting in a more rectangular-bottomed bag that I’ll gladly use to carry water bottles or snacks on our occasional road trips. The bag pictured here will probably get a firmer base before being reproduced for sale in my shop.
